I'll get back to it at the end of the week. Enjoy this. Inell, Inell, Inell,

Spike glanced across the room at her. He loved the way her red
tendrils
curled around her ear. The way her eyes expertly scanned the pages of
text,
searching for useful information. She looked up
sharply, a small smile played across her lips as she returned the
admirer's
attention. Her focus shifted back to the book after a moment, but he
was
hooked, he couldn't look away. She did things to him that even Dru
couldn't.
There was something about her.
So many things had happened since he had been implanted with the
device by
the commandos. He had spent the first two weeks nurturing a broken ego.
Unable to bite or even hit anyone, he had moped around, snapping at
Giles,
starting tiffs with the Slayer, and rolling his eyes at Xander. But the
ever-present redhead had lifted his mood with her sparkling smile and
starry
eyes.
Spike sighed silently to himself. He couldn't believe the simplicity
of his
feelings. For the past two weeks, maybe longer, he'd been nursing a
crush
for the girl. It was nearly impossible, even for him, to fathom. Still,
there was something about her.
Willow looked up at Spike again, still gazing at her as he had been
for the
past hour and a half. He averted his eyes and set the book aside,
staring at
the floor. She had noticed his observance of her all evening.
Spike refused to look up as he heard the sounds of her footsteps
retreating
towards the kitchen. He took a deep breath, relatively speaking, of
course,
just to calm his nerves. He picked himself up and followed her,
stealthily
entering the kitchenette behind her.
"Willow." Spike said to her turned back.
She whipped around, startled by his voice. "God." She laughed
nervously.
"Don't do that."
She looked at him askance. "I don't know where Giles and Buffy have
the
blood hidden, sorry."
Spike smiled graciously, trying to work up the courage to admit his
secret
to her. "That's alright. I'm not hungry."
Willow nodded, not sure where to go with the conversation. She bent
over,
searching the cupboards for something. Spike leaned over her, he deeply
inhaled the scent of her shampoo, closing his
eyes to savor it.
Willow felt his presence close to him and glanced up. Her eyes
contorted
into a look of surprise and confusion.
"What are you doing?" She asked.
"Smelling you." Spike replied, opening his eyes and moving back,
allowing
her to straighten up.
She cocked an eyebrow and turned to open the refrigerator. "Is this
some
weird kind of vampire thing? I don't have to sniff you, do I?" She
ducked
her head in the icebox, retrieving a carton of milk.
Spike frowned slightly, disappointed that his efforts were going
unnoticed.
"No..."
Willow smiled and walked past him, back into the living room. She
plopped
down on the couch, watching him as he followed her. Instead of heading
back
to his chair, he stepped over her and sat next to her, very next to
her.
